Grolier On Line Encyclopedia. http://www.go.grolier.com/

Includes access to three encyclopedias:
  • The New Book of Knowledge (NBK) is an enhanced version of the print encyclopedia. Enhancements include 5 weekly news articles with lesson plans and over 3,000 links from the encyclopedia articles to related educational web sites.
  • Multimedia Encyclopdedia is based on Grolier's Academic American Encyclopedia and provides more depth than NBK. Provides extensive web links and monthly updates.
  • Encyclopedia Americana covers topics in even greater detail than either the NBK or the Multimedia Encyclopdeia and has links to over 125,000 WWW sites (updated quarterly).

Maps 101 This is a database that provides over 4,000 online resources to students and teachers including historical map collections. reference altlases, current events and skill builders for students. Login name (somersis) and password (pnwboces) must be used.
