Law and Life in Two Ancient Societies (Global History, 9th/10th grade)

In this lesson from the Social Studies Resource Guide students read the Code of Hammurabi and parts of the Old Testament to compare and contrast Mesopotamian Law to Hebrew Law in several specific areas. After they organized their information in their charts, they drew conclusions about the values of those societies and our own.
